I bought these speakers thinking budget price = budget sound. Not so in this case. The output and clarity of the set was very crisp and did well with the music applied to them.

Nobou Uematsu / One-Winged Angel (Orchestra : Los Angeles)
Music reproduction was faithful to the song and every score from the instruments. I was impressed to hear the separation of the instruments even down to between the 1st and 2nd musicians. Voice reproduction was very clear and carried well into the music without overpowering one or the other. Bass was well pronounced (for a 6.5) without being overdone.

Buckcherry - Crazy Bitch
The guitar was very crisp and the sets transient response was right on particularly in the rests. Voice reproduction was clear without harsh notes. The bass response was not what I thought it would be after hearing Uematsu's "One-Winged Angel" but it wasn't lacking either. The crash and ride from the drums caught me especially. Well done without being overpowering and again very crisp.

Considering the price of $89.00 MSRP the sound is anything but budget. Crisp response and high power handling (Eclipse 4000) give this set two thumbs up from me.
