Pros: 2-way system alerts you to what is happening to your vehicle
Cons: Must be installed by authorized dealership to keep warranty. Not recommended for novice installers or home installers. The 2-way does not give details about what is happening.

The 871xp is a great system. From as far as 300 ft. I have been able to send and receive information to my car such as remote starting, locking/unlocking, and shutting down the car.

The 3 auxilliary outputs can be utilized for controlling other things such as trunk popping, window roll up/down, etc. With a special control box, I have it motorizing my trunk, turning on my radio, and controlling lighting systems.

The remote is a bit bulky for my taste, but that isn't much of an issue unless you have really tight pockets. The colored leds on it make it easy to see which light is blinking for status information.
