The end all of vibration coatings
Pros: Easy to use, doesn't require any special tools, can be used in or outside of the vehicle, does the job and does it very well
Cons: Doesn't adhere well to plastics, requires more cleanup then the vibration mat counterparts
Almost two years ago I applied Second Skin's Spectrum coating to literally every surface of my car inside and out and I am still amazed at the results.
What I like most about it is how easy it is to apply. I started off applying it with a spray gun and I was able to get it in every nook and cranny with ease, something that is pretty hard to do with a vibration mat. And for those areas I was worried about getting over-spray on I switched to a brush and just painted it on, how easier can it get then that?!
Cleanup was also a breeze because of it being water based. No harsh chemicals required just some warm soapy water and maybe some elbow grease.
Performance wise it just blew me away, especially for killing tire noise. Anyone rolling around on 17" or larger low profile tires knows how noisy they can be but after coating the wheel wells with a nice helping of Spectrum I no longer have that awful hum/whirring noise. And after nearly 2 years of being exposed to harsh weather conditions and being thrashed with brake and road grime the Spectrum is still stuck on there just like the day I sprayed it on.
When I buy a product I expect it to work as advertised and last. Second Skin's Spectrum has more then lived up to it's claims and I will never accept anything less then the best.
