All-in-all a great new product. Scores really high on the "cool factor". The safari browser is very easy to use on the iPod touch. The ability to zoom in and out with the use of 2 fingers makes clicking the right link on a page much easier. Doesnt support many plugins though.

The lack of a camera and bluetooth were a huge disappointment. They are both included on the iPhone but were left off the iPod touch. Lack of installable software is also a turn off with this unit.....but only for now. It will definetly come around pretty quick.

The recent update was a welcome addition. The new applications were definetly needed in most cases. Since webapps are only helpful when within wifi range. Renting movies from netfilx to the iPod is great. I will plug the iPod into my in car video system and play the rented or downloaded movies on roadtrips.

The touchscreen is ultra sharp and is very easy to use.

I would say get the new 32 gig version though since videos can eat up 16 gig in no time.
