Achieving this kind of bass performance at home typically requires large, bulky, and obtrusive enclosures. In addition, the acoustic interaction between rooms and subwoofers degrades bass performance at the listening position. Now, with our inwall subwoofer systems, you can get powerful, accurate, and authoritative deep bass from practically invisible THX Ultra® certified subwoofers that fit in standard 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 studded walls.

IWTS-8e Subwoofer Assembly

Each braced MDF enclosure accommodates a dual 8-inch long-throw woofer assembly, providing roughly the same cone area as a single 12-inch woofer, but with better control and lower distortion. These unique drivers sport a stiff and well-damped Coated Composite Molded Graphite cone, with an unusually strong cone-reinforcing concave dust cap. The vented eight-pound motor and 1.5-inch vented multi-layer voice coil are more typical of those found on a 15-inch driver. Additionally, the baffle is treated with Atlantic's exclusive Resonance Damping Treatment (RDT) to reduce unwanted baffle resonace for clear, articulate bass.
SA-380 monoblock amplifier

The SA-380 iis capable of delivering 380 rock-solid RMS watts for the reproduction of exciting, authoritative theater bass. Its linear power discrete Class G circuitry delivers 380 watts RMS and 550 watts short-term peak power. The design uses audiophile-grade components, including a high-current custom-wound low-hum toroidal transformer. Class G design means the power supply is in dual mode in operation, one for long-term operation, and one for short-term very high power peaks.

Servo-control circuitry--This circuit monitors the woofers' performance. If the servo control detects driver distortion it immediately corrects it, resulting in very high output levels at unusually low distortion levels. A 2-position phase switch and THX-reference click-stop on the level control make operation easy and effective.
IN-BOX-8e sub enclosures

Each Atlantic Technology Sub 8 ein-wall enclosure is 81 inches tall, 14-1/2-inches wide and 3-1/2 inches deep, with a 17-13/16 x 9-3/8 inch cut-out dimension for the woofer module. Designed for installation before the sheet rock goes on, only a discrete grille is visible at knee-level in the room. While the grill extends 1-1/2 inches into the room to accommodate the high excursion of the woofers, its smoothly radiused compound curves make it very inconspicuous.]]>

Fantastic amp, have bought 2nd hand off ebay for £120.00 (bargain I think the retail price is around £600) and have fitted quickly to check it worked onto the standard speakers on my 2004 Ford Mondeo (has the same 6x8's as the Focus, not usre the Mondeo is available in the States)

What can I say?! The previous amp I had was the Directed 650 five channel and I'd always been happy with it (had since new in 2002/3) but this just blows it out of the water! Much cleaner sound, greater definition, noticing new movements in my music. Plenty of power, which remains distortion free until my (uncle henry)speakers hit their limits.

Can't wait to fit it in my new car, a Cooper S Works, running some Dynaudio's actively (MD102's and MW162's)...Watch this space...]]>

This is an awesome stereo and a personal favourite. I genuinely can't fault it and don't think you'll find a better stereo on the market in this price range.

If you run this stereo any other way then fully active you need a slap-the time correction and auto EQ function, combined with running this stereo "activley", open up the doors to SQ and keeping some money in your pocket.

I had the pleasure of going to the product launch for this stereo, in Belgium, and was amazed by the clarity, staging and timbre afforded by this stereo and Pioneer's PRS range (not sure its called the same in the states)

The controls are simple and as the stereo will do all the EQ'ing, time aligning and phasing of your speakers too-even the most technophobic, tone deaf swamp donkey should be able to get this stereo singing!

Alpine's Imprint does the same, costs more and requires a degree of skill to set up-I always compare the Alpine's to an F1 car and the Pioneer to a Subaru Impreza: any chump can look good with the Pioneer, but the Alpine will leave you with egg on your face if you don't know what you're doing with it!]]>

Most audio interfaces and USB DACs synch the data stream clock to the same USB interface clock, that often suffers from very heavy jitter distortion. Thanks to two quartz precision oscillators used inside the M2Tech hiFace, the clock source for the output data stream features extremely low jitter (2-5 ppm vs. 50-100 ppm for most CD players).

You have the choice of a very high quality S/PDIF stereo audio output, or an equally high quality BNC output. The HiFace looks like a small USB pendrive, but features very compact, very low jitter oscillators and proprietary drivers that allow for playing 192kHz/24bit audio files with exceptional quality.]]>
