Though known mostly for their classically styled integrated amplifiers, Peachtree also has standalone D-to-A converters in their product lineup as well. The latest to join this group is the entry level DACiT. As you might expect from Peachtree, the DAC chip is an ESS Sabre, specifically the 9022. The DACiT is a very compact (2.42" H x 6.5" W x 6.5" D) desktop-style DAC, and a 24/96 capable galvanically isolated USB input makes it ideal for connection to computer sources. Traditional optical and coaxial inputs are also onboard. The DACiT will be available in June, priced at $449.
