Asynchronous is the buzz word in computer audio, and several new converters are popping up with asynchronous mode operation to replace the old adaptive mode converters. Among this new group is the Stello U3. The U3 features a 32-bit 500Mips XMOS processor and dual low jitter clocks inside its tiny aluminum case. The U3 is powered by the computer's USB output, and provides galvanically isolated AES/EBU and coaxial digital outputs. Availability is scheduled for July 1st.
