Default 3D effects

How can I recreate the cinema 3D experience with a home theater set up? I have visions of searching for a supplier of those glasses we used to wear for shows years ago. (Do they still give you those? I don't get to the actual cinema very often anymore).

They've gotten away from the red & blue lens glasses, thank goodness!
Now, you need a 3-D capable tv (sold at most dealers), a 3=D capable blu ray player, and glasses. At Sears, the salesman said that with their deals on 3-D stuff, they end up giving you a set of glasses (2 pair), which is good, because if you buy them, they are about $300. Then of course, you need 3-D movies. DirecTv offers ESPN in 3-D. It looks good........
Going to be expensive to get into 3-D.

I've only recently heard about 3D TVs, how much do they retail at the moment? May make a good future investment. Then to find 3D glasses that would fit someone that already wears glasses.

Here's one: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-UN40C7...9&sr=1-3-fkmr1
Here's several more: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...321_367&fsc=-1
The 3-D glasses fit ok over regular glasses.

Some very nice looking TVs in those links. I noticed the cheapest prices listed were for used models. Would you buy one that wasn't new? The price difference isn't great enough in my opinion.

I wouldn't buy used either. I think it's way too much of a risk and not everyone is as honest as I am. Plus there is the risk of damage in transit from them to you.

There are so many places now that you can go and get yourself all set up for an amazing 3D experience. Best Buy now has 3D TVs, and that latest glasses I've seen are so much better. Things seriously look real. I would start there and get a really nice Sony Surround Sound System.
