Default Do you still own vinyl?

I was doing some cleaning today and bumped across a collection of vinyl discs made me remember the good old days when people stealing music had to be in way better shape than now.
Do you still own them? Do you still listen to them?

I've never even seen a vinyl record outside of a club! I like the sound but I doubt I would play them myself. My older relatives still have them and they have nostalgia nights sometimes!

Oh yes! I go to Goodwill Outlet Stores and buy albums occasionally. I definitely listen to them. If the album is in good condition, there is nothing that sounds better. CDs are ok. They are convenient, because you can skip a song if you don't like it, or get it to play songs in random order. But to sit and seriously enjoy some music, nothing beats an album.

My dad does and I think it's really awesome. He has so many records, it's not even funny. He bought me a My Little Pony Vinyl when I was little and we still have that too. Records are so cool

Seriously Kewpie ... don't knock it until you've tried it. I know my name suggests otherwise but my love of Vinyl is fairly recent... I'm 31... which means I grew up with tapes, not vinyl. Kids in NewYork have started a trend for Vinyl in the past few years. If you've heard vinyl records and thought the quality is bad it's most likely cos of the speakers on the system ... or a very poor vinyl record itself.
Give vinyl a try, so many people who are growing up with digital are missing out. take a look at my blog > blog.vinylvenue.co.uk .... take 5 mins for a read, hopefully you'll make the jump and won't look back.

I grew up in the digital age so never really had an occasion to, or tendency to try them myself. My brother however who is 11 year older than me, has a truck load of them. I'll just have to listen to some Maiden albums and see for myself.

Maiden is a good choice! ... take a look at the covers too.

For example, the "Somewhere In Time" artwork. Some of them are well hidden, others are not.
* Ruskin Arms reference (old pub they started playing at)
* Clock says 23:58 (2 Minutes To Midnight)
* West Ham 7 Arsenal 3 - soccer score, showing their favorite team West Ham
* well in the lead. Incidentally, West Ham are THE IRONS Aces High bar, complete with a spitfire flying above
* The Rainbow bar (another old club they frequented in the early days)
* "Tonight GYPSY'S KISS", under the 23:58 sign (hard to see) - reference to Steve Harris' very first band
* Hammerjacks - a reference to one of the band's favorite bars in the US,

>> There is more!

Sorry can't post proper links yet as only have 11 posts.
I guess that's what I was going on about here:
