I think you should link the two fs sections between the two forums. Really, they are interchangeable.

Guess I'll start this weekend with some build tutorials on the zdt's. I think the last couple inductors finally arrived. I've been more into HA for the past 2 years anyways, so I can quit hanging out in "other audio" all the time.

Same here. Looking forward to some good discussions on this forum.

I've got my Nathan 10s from Dr. Geddes arriving next week as well as a Maelstrom-X to go with the w12gtis. Hopefulling a few weeks I'll have something decent to show off.

I'm looking forward to the tutorials on the ZDTs. Those caught my interest for another room in our house.

Soon as I got a few hundred bucks to spare, I am going to order some waveguides from geddes, and try my hand at a combo design using his waveguides for over 1k and a different approach for CD below, along with an H frame for the subs. Hopefully, I can get a few other builders in here to offer diy kits, and some good discussion.

The negative is, some of my favorite builders/designers don't like forums. Maybe if they are involved from the beginning on here, they will be more inclined to stick around and offer some help.

I'm interested to hear what you come up with. Are you looking at the 12" waveguides to get to 1k?

It would be wonderful to get some designers on here. It's been a shame that other forums have become vehicles for people to bash the best contributors in the field in order to make themselves feel important.

Geddes (among others, including Krutke) has an extremely confident and sometimes abrasive tone in many of his posts which gets some of the thin skinned members at DIYaudio all fired up. If we can get people like him on this forum it would behoove us all to just listen, ask well formed questions and challenge ideas after taking the time to do a little research.

I'll think about it and see what I come up with.

Hopefully this one will fill with great ideas and new things for all.

I've got some tutorial ideas and project ideas that I've been working on. I might post them here only since several of the other forums I visit have been annoying me.

Interesting

Just an observation, maybe there should be separate forums for 2-channel stuff and more "home theater"/multichannel based discussion. Just something for when we actually do start getting a lot of posts, hopefully

I agree with Jim. I have a duel set up but my first passion has always been 2ch. So it would be cool to have both.

I was going to ask if there was a way of tweeking the 'new posts' and 'subscribed' views of threads to stay up for longer.

But since traffic is increasing it is much better now. So, nevermind.
