So presuming you have put together a quality home theater and still have money to spare, how important is the decor in the dedicated space you created? Would you hire a company to create the look of a real movie theater?

I'd like to say I would spend extra cash on upgrading equipment but if that is all fine then I think it would be cool to have comfy seats and some suitable decor. I wouldn't pay someone to do it though. (Unless I was mega rich!)

I think I'd be looking at things like lighting once the hardware was sorted. Comfortable chairs are essentials too, but I am not into anything specifically 'cinema like' for decorations and so on.

I might hire a designer to create an overall look, but I would want to do the work. I think that by adding your own personal touch enhances the viewing experience.

Nah, have the fun is in making it yourself, plus if I do setup a howl room to be a media room, I'd rather spend the extra cash on stuff I want to add, than give it to somebody to ask me what I want than purchase it for me.

I always wanted my own personal cinema like room, it has been a dream of mine since I was a kid, but I don't see why I would need to higher a designer for that at worst I'd hire a contractor to help me out.
