I am looking at building a new sub setup. I am looking to do a 15" sub in a nice ported enclosure. I was modeling up some subs is BBP and am not sure about port velocity.
I have built ported enclosures for the car but never my designs, so I am nt to sure about what I am doing designing this enclosure.
So I am going to use a flared port, just not sure what size and how many. So for port velocity, what is to much to where you might get the chuffing sound? I am modeling a Dayton 15" HO in a 3.3 cube enclosure.
One last thing so the box models the best at 3.3 cubes, I take it I need to add the displacement of the sub braces and port, but how do I figure out how much I need for the port. I know it will vary by the size and length, but whats the formula for it?
