Re: Battery death

My brother in law installed the new stereo for me. He's not qualified but pretty handy with mechanics. Perhaps electrics is a little too much for him!

Re: Battery death

As JVC said it iss possibly the way its wired up. It shouldn't cost as much as a new system. Who installed the new system?

Re: Battery death

Pretty sure there is nothing stuck in there but will check anyhow. Cheers. I'm not feeling brave enough to mess with wiring so think it's going to be a trip to the local car doctor for me. Just hope it doesn't cost more than the new system .

Re: Battery death

I know someone who had a similar issue and it turned out a CD was stuck, causing a problem with the motor in the stereo system. I am guessing you have checked for that but just in case.....

Re: Battery death

Only way I see that happening, is if the stereo wiring is setup so the player is still on, when the car is turned off. A friend did his like that once, thinking he would like it. But after draining his battery so much, he rewired it the right way.........
Good luck!

Battery death

These days my car battery keeps dying and it's getting more and more frequent. It seems to be connected to my new car stereo. Is a second battery the answer?
