Default 3/4 inch thick speakers

I just came across these speakers, the brand is Magnepan. I've never seen speakers that look like this. They are said to make music sound as if it is live rather than a recording, which would be cool. Are they as good as they seem?

I've never heard them personally, but Magnapans have the rep for being a very good speaker. They are very expensive speakers too. Not sure how much bass you get from them, but most people have a sub to handle the bass anyway.

Never heard of these kind of speakers, I usually find messing around with the equalizer gives the sound I want to hear. You hear most live music through speakers too, so I doubt there is much difference.

I've never had speakers this size but I would give them a go, especially if the 60 day money back guarantee is in place! They would need a fair size room though I would imagine.

Well I can see they are very attractive speakers and if the claims are accurate then I'd splash out on them. I am always a bit surprised to see phrases such as 'an entirely new way of reproducing sound'. Are audio companies allowed to make this kind of statements without any actual proof?

Edited** why has that strange link appeared in my post?
